How to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius degrees.

These days I was invited to flick through project for installation which incinerates wastes. The company which developed this project is from USA and I was very disappointed that most of the temperature currencies in the papers were in Fahrenheit. It is normal of course for people who live in other side of Atlantic Ocean but for most of the Europeans this digits are totally useless.

So let’s see how to convert from Fahrenheit to Celsius. The formula is very simple:

[0C] = ([0F] – 32) x (5/9)

One example f course

If [0F]= 32 then [0C] = (32-32) x (0.555)= 0 0C

The easiest way to remember this is when you see the value in F just deduct it with 32 and then divide the value by 0.555 or 5/9. It is not so correct but always works.

There is a very interesting fact to know that when you have temperature - 40 0F
the value in the Celsius is the same - 40 0C, but of course everything could be described with mathematics.

Here some web resources for on line converting.
